How it began
A bench in Tauranga
LUA started in 2018, in Tauranga, with a conviction that hasn't moved since: jewellery should mean something. Not a logo, not a trend — a story. The necklace you wore the day everything changed. The gift that said what words couldn't.
There was never a plan to scale it up. There was a plan to keep it real — natural materials, shaped by hand at the bench, one piece at a time. We work slowly, in small numbers, and we don't make the same piece twice. When a necklace finds you, it's yours alone.
We'll be honest about what we are: a small Tauranga studio. Every piece is made by hand, never in a run — so there's no warehouse behind us, and no second chance once a design is gone.

No batches, no restocks. Each piece is made once, then retired — the moment it sells it flips to found its person and checkout refuses to resell it. Real scarcity, never manufactured.
